Softball Recap: Dawson Springs Comes Up Short

Dawson Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-0 to the Caldwell County Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 22-0 loss two weeks ago.

Dawson Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Caldwell County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Dawson Springs will take on McLean County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.4 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. Caldwell County has already played their next contest (against Christian County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
