Carmel is 8-0 against Joliet Catholic since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Carmel Corsairs will take on the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. Carmel is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Monday, Carmel came up short against Barrington and fell 40-32. That's two games in a row now that the Corsairs have lost by exactly eight points.

Meanwhile, Joliet Catholic had to suffer through a 67-33 loss at the hands of Benet Academy. While losing is never fun, the Hilltoppers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Redwings are ranked first).

Carmel's record now sits at 7-13. As for Joliet Catholic, their loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

Everything came up roses for Carmel against Joliet Catholic when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 64-27 victory. Will Carmel repeat their success, or does Joliet Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
