Volleyball Recap: Branford Wins Going Away Against Bell

Branford won the last time they faced Bell and things went their way on Monday too. The Buccaneers blew past the Bulldogs 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buccaneers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-14, 25-20.

Adriauna Combs paced Branford's offense, picking up 12 kills. Combs got some help from Mylie Fernandez and her 32 assists. Fernandez also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Adrianna Malaguti, racking up three apiece.

Branford's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Bell, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Branford is set to square off against their familiar foe Union County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bell will challenge rival Lafayette at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
