Recap: Alexander Spartans vs. Federal Hocking Lancers
After flying high against the Southern Tornadoes last Monday, the Alexander Spartans came back down to earth. Alexander took a 54-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Federal Hocking on Monday. While losing is never fun, Alexander can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while Federal Hocking is ranked 163rd).
Despite the loss, Alexander still got an impressive performance from Kaylee Johnson, who scored 11 points.
Alexander now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Federal Hocking, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alexander will challenge Logan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Federal Hocking, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
