Football Recap: Clarksville Comes Up Short

Clarksville lost against Floyd Central on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Generals took a 35-19 bruising from the Highlanders.

Floyd Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maya Brogan, who threw for 249 yards and four touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Hickey, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Clarksville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Floyd Central, their record is now 5-0.

Floyd Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-0 win against New Albany on the 13th. Hopefully Clarksville paid attention to the Highlanders' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
