Basketball Recap: Albert Gallatin Colonials vs. Carrick Raiders
Even though the Carrick Raiders scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, the Albert Gallatin Colonials still came out on top. Albert Gallatin secured a 60-55 W over the Raiders. This was payback for Albert Gallatin, who suffered a 80-78 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Albert Gallatin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blake White, who scored 16 points. White is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played. Ethan Kennedy was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Albert Gallatin's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9. As for Carrick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
Albert Gallatin and the Leopards will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Belle Vernon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully the Colonials like a good challenge.
