Softball Game Preview: Rincon/University Rangers vs. Canyon del Oro Dorados

Rincon/University is 0-5 against Canyon del Oro since April of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Rincon/University Rangers will face off against the Canyon del Oro Dorados at 4:00 p.m.

Rincon/University can't be to happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Wednesday. They fell just short of Flowing Wells by a score of 5-4. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 18 in a row.

Rincon/University saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Beudot, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Canyon del Oro put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Winslow as Canyon del Oro made off with an 18-1 win. That looming 18-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Dorados yet this season.

Rincon/University suffered a grim 15-1 defeat to Canyon del Oro in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Rincon/University avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
