Basketball Recap: Pleasanton Takes a Loss

Pleasanton played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 50-28 to the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers/Jaguars: they've now lost four in a row.

Floresville found their leader in sophomore Amariah Ruiz, who went 7 of 15 en route to 19 points in addition to five boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Hernandez, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Pleasanton's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Floresville, they pushed their record up to 19-13 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Pleasanton will head out to challenge Uvalde at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Floresville, they will challenge Devine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Devine will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Floresville surely won't give up without a fight.
