Softball Recap: West Las Vegas Comes Up Short

West Las Vegas and Robertson pushed the score to 23-4 the last time they played Robertson, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Dons fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1. The Dons just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

West Las Vegas' loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Robertson, they pushed their record up to 5-9 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

When West Las Vegas and Robertson next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Dons will face off against St. Michael's and their five-game winning streak at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (West Las Vegas 3.1, the Horsemen 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Robertson will try to stop Ruidoso's six-game winning streak when they meet at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
