Football Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Surry Central two weeks ago, Trinity came back down to earth. The Bulldogs took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Davidson Golden Eagles on Friday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Trinity lost, don't look at Khad'N Fuller. Despite the final result, he rushed for 99 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 110 yards and one TD.

Among those leading the charge was Landon Hollar, who rushed for 64 yards and one score, and also threw for 137 yards and one touchdown on only ten passes. Those 64 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Trinity's record now sits at 1-5. As for East Davidson, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coming up, Trinity is taking a road trip to challenge Providence Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Davidson, they will take on Wheatmore at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
