Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Fort Wayne South Side Archers 69-37. The loss was just more heartbreak for the Saints, who fell 55-53 when the teams last met back in January of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger lost, don't look at Zach Lehrman. Despite the final result, he posted nine points and six boards. George Poiry was another key player, putting up ten points.

Terrance Jordan had an outrageously good game for Fort Wayne South Side as he went 6 for 11 on his way to 18 points along with five assists and three steals. Those 18 points gave Jordan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayvon Irby, who had nine points and seven assists.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Fort Wayne South Side, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger will square off against Fort Wayne Snider at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Wayne Snider is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.8 points per game this season. As for Fort Wayne South Side, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-59 loss against Richmond on the 1st.
