Football Game Preview: Ramapo Raiders vs. Winslow Township Eagles

Two dominant signal callers in Casey Grusser and Jalen Parker are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Ramapo Raiders will challenge the Winslow Township Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Ramapo is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.

Ramapo is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 41-20 margin over Phillipsburg. Considering the Raiders have won nine contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Liam Hayward continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 127 yards and one score. Those 127 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Mike Viksjo also deserves some recognition as he hauled in his first receiving touchdown of the season.

Another reason for the win was Ramapo's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Harrison Kearney was especially locked on to Phillipsburg's QB and sacked him three times.

Meanwhile, Winslow Township faced Brick Memorial in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 14-12.

The critical scores for Winslow Township came from Nyqir Helton and TJ Maddox.

Ramapo's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Winslow Township, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.

Sunday's game might be decided in the trenches. Ramapo has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 175.9 rushing yards per game.
