Football Game Preview: James Logan Colts vs. Tennyson Lancers + How To Watch

The James Logan Colts are taking a road trip to face off against the Tennyson Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tennyson took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on James Logan, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, James Logan didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Moreau Catholic, but they still walked away with a 24-19 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Colts.

Jeramiyah Cotton was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 192 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 41 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: James Logan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 316 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

James Logan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cotton and Teddy Gaoteote. That interception marked the first that Gaoteote has snagged this season.

Meanwhile, Tennyson played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by San Leandro and fell 35-6. The contest marked the Lancers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

James Logan will have to contain Montrell Rice-Tuigamala as he made an impact in Tennyson's last game. He rushed for 170 yards while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Rice-Tuigamala was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 58 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Tennyson and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for James Logan, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for James Logan against Tennyson in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 34-3 win. In that game, the Colts amassed a halftime lead of 21-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
