Preview: Crossover Prep Lions vs. Destiny Christian Wildcats
Crossover Prep is 0-3 against Destiny Christian since September of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Crossover Prep Lions will be staying on the road to face off against the Destiny Christian Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
Last Friday, Crossover Prep came up short against Abundant Life and fell 21-8.
Meanwhile, Destiny Christian had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 42-20 margin over Southwest Christian Academy. The result was nothing new for Destiny Christian, who have now won five games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Destiny Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dennis Dibbe out in front who rushed for 235 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Ramsey, who rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns.
Crossover Prep's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-4. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.0 points per game. As for Destiny Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
