Eaton is 8-2 against Valley View since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Eagles will face off against the Spartans at 5:00 p.m.

Eaton easily dispatched Oakwood on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Eagles fell just short of Valley View by a score of 10-8 on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

For Valley View's part, the team relied heavily on Emily Woodward, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Layla Quillen also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Valley View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 10.6.

Valley View has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Eaton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
