Softball Recap: Dutch Fork Takes a Loss

Dutch Fork came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lexington Wildcats, falling 16-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Silver Foxes couldn't push the score so high this time.

Dutch Fork saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Pouliot, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI. That double was Pouliot's first of the season.

Dutch Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Lexington, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Dutch Fork is set to challenge their familiar foe River Bluff at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lexington will square off against rival White Knoll at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
