Volleyball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

Cherokee lost against Mount Paran Christian back in August of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Berkley Wood paced Cherokee's offense, picking up six kills. Wood got some help from Charleigh Young and her three assists.

Kelsie Moran had a dynamite game For Mount Paran Christian., getting 16 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Moran has posted since back in September of 2024.

Cherokee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Mount Paran Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Cherokee has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Harrison on the 14th. As for Mount Paran Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Holy Innocents Episcopal on the 19th.
