Wildwood suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Wednesday. They were the victim of a tough 64-38 loss at the hands of North Marion. Wildwood was down 48-25 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Wildwood's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zayden Garcia, who scored 12 points, and Terriyon Bryant who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, even though Lake Weir scored an imposing 63 points on Wednesday, South Sumter still came out on top. South Sumter sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 66-63 win over Lake Weir. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory South Sumter has posted yet this season.
Wildwood has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for South Sumter, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
