Softball Recap: D'iberville Finds Home Field Redemption Against Biloxi

There's no place like home for D'Iberville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Biloxi Indians on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Emma Franklin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up 15 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, D'Iberville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Redding, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Redding also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

D'Iberville's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Biloxi, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-12.

Coming up, D'Iberville will face off against Wayne County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Biloxi, they will head out on the road to take on St. Martin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
