Basketball Recap: Admiral Farragut Piles Up the Points Against Keswick Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Admiral Farragut). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Keswick Christian Crusaders 75-38. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the BlueJackets with their most commanding win of the season.

Admiral Farragut's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lukas Fontasiewicz, who went 7 for 11 en route to 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That's the most points Fontasiewicz has posted since back in January of 2024. Hayden Hundt was another key player, going 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 20 points.

Fontasiewicz wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Admiral Farragut was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Despite the loss, Keswick Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grant Cook dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Bingham, who posted nine points and three steals.

Admiral Farragut now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Keswick Christian, they moved to 10-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Admiral Farragut didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-51 loss against Clearwater Central Catholic on the 15th. As for Keswick Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-45 victory against Saint Stephen's Episcopal on the 14th.
