Basketball Recap: Hilton Head Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Hilton Head Christian Academy lost against Hilton Head Prep last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles took a hard 50-33 fall against the Hilton Head Prep Dolphins. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Hilton Head Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jake Wood posted 12 points.

Hilton Head Prep had a senior duo take command as Connor Campbell went 6 of 8 en route to 15 points along with six boards and three steals and Ty Harpring went 8 of 16 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Campbell has posted since back in December of 2023.

Hilton Head Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hilton Head Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Hilton Head Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 73-53 defeat against May River on the 16th. As for Hilton Head Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-43 win against Fort Dorchester on the 19th.
