Softball Recap: Henry Clay Comes Up Short

Henry Clay fell victim to Rowan County and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 1-0. Considering the last time the Blue Devils couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Henry Clay has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Rowan County, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-5.

Coming up, Henry Clay will challenge George Rogers Clark at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rowan County, they will square off against Bowling Green at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
