Softball Recap: Westside Comes Up Short

Westside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 20-0 to the Cesar E. Chavez Lobos. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Wolves haven't been shut out since back in February.

Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Cesar E. Chavez, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3.

Coming up, Westside and Heights will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westside's pitchers better be ready for this one: Heights has averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Cesar E. Chavez, they will head out on the road to face off against Kingwood at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
