Basketball Recap: Westwood Christian Piles Up the Points Against Pinecrest Prep

There's no place like home for Westwood Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 75-37 victory over the Pinecrest Prep Crocs. That looming 75-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors yet this season.

Westwood Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Devin Mcintyre out in front who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 assists. The contest was Mcintyre's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Tristen Barnes was another key player, going 6 of 11 en route to 17 points in addition to eight boards and five assists.

Mcintyre wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Westwood Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Pinecrest Prep still got an impressive performance from Gabriel Guzman, who posted 19 points.

Westwood Christian pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Pinecrest Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.

Westwood Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 76-45 win against Coral Reef on the 27th. Pinecrest Prep has also already played their next contest, a 50-45 victory against Mater Brickell Academy on the 27th.
