Chaminade waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They enjoyed a cozy 26-7 win over the El Camino Real Royals.
Chaminade found their leader in sophomore Lauren Jesic, who rushed for 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 94 yards and two TDs while completing 73.3% of her passes. Those 152 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Jesic.
Chaminade was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 200 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.
Chaminade didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ayanna Dolly and Kaitlyn Nelson. Dolly is also crushing it when it comes to defended passes: she's defended at least two every time she's taken the field this season.
