Softball Recap: North Posey Has No Trouble Against Evansville Harrison

North Posey won the last time they faced Evansville Harrison and things went their way on Monday too. North Posey put the hurt on Evansville Harrison with a sharp 20-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Sophie Scheller looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Mylee Allen was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run and six RBI. Alyssa Heath was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and four runs.

North Posey always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Evansville Harrison only posted an OBP of .304.

North Posey's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coming up, North Posey will welcome Henderson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Henderson County's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so North Posey's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Evansville Harrison, they will head out to square off against Castle at 5:00 p.m. on the 8th. The last three games Castle has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
