Football Recap: Boston Laursen and Daniel Lincoln Secure Win for Heritage Christian Academy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tensas Academy, Heritage Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 34-24 win over the Franklin Academy Cougars. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their eight-point performance the contest before.

Heritage Christian Academy was led to victory by Daniel Lincoln and Boston Laursen. Lincoln gained 179 total yards and a touchdown, while Laursen rushed for 34 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Lincoln also rushed for 144 rushing yards, which is notable because the Warriors are 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-5 otherwise.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Heritage Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 262 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Heritage Christian Academy's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Franklin Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
