Floresville and Seguin are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. Floresville will challenge Seguin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Floresville blew Uvalde out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Uvalde got their revenge. Floresville fell just short of Uvalde by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers/Jaguars have suffered against the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) since March 21, 2017.

Meanwhile, Seguin entered their tilt with Highlands on Friday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over the Owls. The result was nothing new for the Matadors, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Seguin pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Floresville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-14.

Everything went Floresville's way against Seguin when the teams last played back in February of 2023, as Floresville made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Floresville since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
