Softball Game Preview: English Valleys Bears vs. Keota Eagles

English Valleys is a perfect 10-0 against Keota since June of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Bears will welcome the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. English Valleys has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

English Valleys managed to slip by North Mahaska the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bears lost 12-2 to the Warhawks on Monday. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Keota fell victim to Sigourney and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Savages.

English Valleys is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. As for Keota, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

English Valleys took their victory against Keota in their previous meeting back in June of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
