Football Recap: St. Francis Takes Down Belvidere North in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Francis had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Belvidere North Blue Thunder as they made off with a 35-13 win. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won five contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

A big part of St. Francis' victory came down to the chemistry between Brock Phillip and his top target Tanner Glock. Phillip threw for 143 yards and three TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes while Glock picked up 83 receiving yards and three scores. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Glock a new career-high.

St. Francis is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.4 points over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Belvidere North fell to 12-1.

Coming up, St. Francis will take on Providence Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Celtics have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups. Belvidere North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
