Volleyball Recap: Mars Hill Academy Extends Winning Streak to 11

Mars Hill Academy came tearing into Tuesday's match with ten straight wins dating back to last season, and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Milford Christian with a sharp 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Mars Hill Academy was: they took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-8, 25-8.

Mars Hill Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mary Johnson, who had eight aces, six digs, and three blocks. Another player making a difference was AJ Lucas, who had 23 digs and four aces.

Mars Hill Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Milford Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mars Hill Academy will face off against Kingdom Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Milford Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Liberty Bible Academy at 7:15 p.m. on September 16.
