Softball Recap: Round Rock Comes Up Short

Round Rock fell victim to Hutto and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hippos. The Dragons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hippos earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Round Rock's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Hutto, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Round Rock is set to challenge their familiar foe Stony Point at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Dragons have won five straight at home, while the Tigers won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change. Meanwhile, Hutto will take on rival McNeil at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
