Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Navarro's 12th in Last 13 Outings

Navarro won against Bandera last Friday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Panthers walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Wimberley Texans. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Texans, too.

Colt Brown made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Austin Davidson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Caleb Wood was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Navarro is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Wimberley, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-4-1.

Navarro will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Texans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
