It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Central had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against Carver High School of Engineering & Science as they made off with a 19-4 victory. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by ten runs or more this season.

The win (which was Central's third in a row) raised their record to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Carver High School of Engineering & Science, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-3-1 record.

Looking ahead, Central will challenge Frankford at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Lancers will need to watch out since the Pioneers have now posted at least ten runs in their last eight matchups. Carver High School of Engineering & Science does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
