Basketball Recap: New Utrecht Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

There's no place like home for New Utrecht, who bounced back after a loss on the road on February 1st. They snuck past the Brooklyn Technical Engineers with a 42-37 win on Thursday. The 42-point effort marked the Utes' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

New Utrecht pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points over those games. As for Brooklyn Technical, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record this season.
