Ceres snaps three-game streak of wins at home

After a string of eight wins, the Ceres Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a hard 62-45 fall against Mountain House. Ceres has not had much luck with Mountain House recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Ceres' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gilbert Nuno, who scored six points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carey Mastin, who scored seven points along with six assists.

Mountain House's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Assefa led the charge by scoring ten points. Coldin Parker was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.

Ceres' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. As for Mountain House, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Ceres will head out on the road to take on Lathrop at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Lathrop is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.2 points per game. As for Mountain House, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Grace Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Grace Davis is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
