Football Recap: Madison Starts Season with Win Against Andrews + How To Watch

Madison gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Andrews Wildcats a 26-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Patriots were the (much) better team in the second half.

Triston Massey was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 121 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 69 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another back making a difference was Ivan Leonard, who rushed for 123 yards on only 14 carries.

Coming up, Madison will welcome East Henderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Andrews, they are taking a road trip to take on Smoky Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
