Softball Recap: Peninsula Catholic Comes Up Short

After flying high against Norfolk Christian two weeks ago, Peninsula Catholic came back down to earth. The Knights lost 14-5 to the Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Dolphins: they've now lost seven in a row.

Autumn Baker was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double. Addison Dent was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Peninsula Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Coming up, Peninsula Catholic will square off against Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, they will venture away from home to face off against Salem at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
