Softball Recap: Millikan Takes a Loss

Millikan fell victim to La Habra and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Habra Highlanders. The game marked the first time this season in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.

Millikan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aisley Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Smith's first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Millikan and nudges their season record down to 4-3. As for La Habra, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Coming up, Millikan will square off against St. Joseph at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Millikan's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so St. Joseph's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for La Habra, they will take on La Cueva in a tournament on Saturday. La Cueva is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.
