It's playoff time, and Alton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They claimed a resounding 63-36 victory over the Pekin Dragons. The Redbirds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 contests by 21 points or more this season.

The win (which was Alton's eighth in a row) raised their record to 32-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.8 points. As for Pekin, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 20-14 record.

Looking ahead, Alton will face off against Waubonsie Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Waubonsie Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 matchups -- so hopefully Alton likes a good challenge. Pekin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
