Baseball Game Preview: First Colonial Patriots vs. West Johnston Wildcats

The First Colonial Patriots will be taking part in a tournament against the West Johnston Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. First Colonial will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

First Colonial had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Green Run on Thursday. The Patriots put the hurt on the Stallions with a sharp 17-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won five matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, West Johnston was able to grind out a solid victory over Hunt on Wednesday, taking the game 4-1.

First Colonial's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for West Johnston, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.
