Baseball Recap: Otis Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Otis couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs by a score of 7-6 on Friday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Fightin' Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Paxton Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.

Otis' loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Haxtun, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-4.

Coming up, Otis will be playing in front of their home fans against Holly at 12:30 p.m. on the 10th. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Haxtun, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 17-12 defeat against Akron on the 2nd.
