Soccer Game Preview: Martinsville vs. Bassett

Martinsville hasn't had much luck against Bassett recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bengals at 7:00 p.m.

Martinsville is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Halifax County, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Bassett hadn't done well against Halifax County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bengals were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Comets.

Bassett's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three games. As for Martinsville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10-2.
