Edgewood won the last time they faced Cocoa Beach and things went their way on Thursday too. The Red Wolves walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Minutemen. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Wolves.

In the three sets Edgewood was on fire: they won each by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 21-25, 25-10, 25-11.

Anna Ely paced Edgewood's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ely got some help from Debbie Walley and her 24 assists. Ely was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Edgewood's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Cocoa Beach, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

The future could be bright for both Edgewood and Cocoa Beach: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Red Wolves will look to extend Merritt Island Christian's six-game losing streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cocoa Beach will try to hand Cocoa their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
