Baseball Recap: Triton Comes Up Short

Triton had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-4 to make it four. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms. If the Cobras were looking for revenge after losing 6-3 to the Awesome Blossoms when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Blooming Prairie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games.

For Blooming Prairie's part, the result came thanks to Gabe Staloch's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks.

Looking ahead, Triton will challenge Hayfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Cobras their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Blooming Prairie, they will face off against United South Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
