Willows had lost 20 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 2-14 to make it 21. They lost 23-3 to the Colusa RedHawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the RedHawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-5 on Tuesday.

Willows saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Charles Squier, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

As for Colusa, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-15. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Colusa's side, they let Jace MacKaben and Kane Nall run wild. MacKaben went 4-for-5 with one home run, eight RBI, and three runs, while Nall went a perfect 5-for-5 with six RBI, four runs, and one stolen base. Those eight RBI gave MacKaben a new career-high. Rowdy Moore was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Willows will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Winters at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Colusa, they will challenge Vacaville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
