Basketball Recap: Cedar Key Comes Up Short

After flying high against Ocala Christian on Tuesday, Cedar Key came back down to earth. The Sharks came up short against the Bell Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 52-32. The Sharks lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 63-21 score last time.

Cedar Key dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Cedar Key will take on Oak Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bell, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Dixie County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
