Sitka entered their tilt with Petersburg on Saturday with 14 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 15. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Vikings. Considering the Wolves have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Caleb Calhoun made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Brett Ross and Josh Gluth did most of the damage at the plate: Ross got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs, while Gluth went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Ross has posted since back in May of 2024. Chance Coleman was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Sitka's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Petersburg, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-8.
