Volleyball Recap: North Polk Comes Up Short

After flying high against Carroll last Tuesday, North Polk came back down to earth. The Comets fell just short of the Ankeny Centennial Jaguars by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Comets have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

North Polk's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Ankeny Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

North Polk is taking a road trip to square off against Ballard at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ankeny Centennial, their road trip will continue as they head out to face Sioux City North at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
