Baseball Recap: Sonora Wildcats vs. Hughson Huskies
Sonora extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 27 on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-18. They came up short against the Hughson Huskies, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on April 2nd.
As for Hughson, their record now sits at 11-14. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by nine runs or more this season.
For Hughson's part, Gavin Gomez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Gomez was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
